Do I have to have a Sponsor to attend a Walk to Emmaus?
Yes, the Sponsor is someone who has already attended a Walk to Emmaus event from any Community. The Sponsor generally pays the Walk fee on behalf of the attendee. The Sponsor will also prepare the Attendee for the Walk by answering his/her questions. The Sponsor will transport the Attendee to and from the Walk event. The Sponsor will also perform many behind-the-scenes services on behalf of the Attendee.

I am new to the Abilene/Big Country area, how can I become a part of Big Country Emmaus Community?
Anyone who has attended a Walk to Emmaus/Chrysalis/Journey or Face to Face event may become a part of the Big Country Emmaus Community. The Community meets each month on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The location changes each quarter – check the website for the current location. Approach any Board Member and state your desire to join the Community. We have a Survey you may complete which is available on the website for you to complete with your interests for serving within the Community.
